Exenatide efficacy and safety: a systematic review
Posted by Angela Paisley on 20 September, 2009
A systematic review published in diabetic medicine performed as part of the Drug Effectiveness Review Project examining the efficacy, effectiveness and side effects of exenatide therapy. In total 17 studies were included. Overall exenatide was associated with a reduction in HbA1c of approximately 1%, similar to the introduction of another oral agent or insulin but with the benefit of weight loss.
