Obesity Conference 2017 – Promoting Healthy Lifestyles: 13 Dec 2017

Posted by Guest Author on 18 October, 2017

http://www.salford.ac.uk/onecpd/courses/the-obesity-conference-and-exhibition

Two thirds of adults in England are classed as overweight or obese costing the NHS an estimated £6.1 billion a year. With obesity rates increasing among children, this growing public health crisis could become unmanageable in the future without meaningful intervention now. As the NHS strives to put itself on a more sustainable footing, a multifaceted prevention based approach to obesity is needed. This will require greater collaboration between the NHS, local authorities and the private sector as well as measures to address food consumption, lack of exercise and poor lifestyle choices.
Join us for the Obesity Conference 2017 where expert speakers will discuss the latest approaches to the growing crisis in public health. Understand the underlying causes of obesity and how to combat them, observe methods for influencing behaviour and improving public health through prevention and see how different organisations can collaborate to find solutions to the obesity problem.

Feedback from previous courses

We e-mailed all the delegates of our previous course and asked them to write to us with their exam results. Everyone who e-mailed us back has passed the exam.

“Your course was very good, though I think your questions were harder. Though the exam did not cover the epidemiology, screening I thought they were excellent sessions.
It was a well run course and excelllnet value for money.I would recommend it highly for anyone doing the exam.”

“The course had been extremely helpful for the exam and I am really thankful to you all.
It would have been even more useful if it was held a bit earlier as I realised I needed to do a lot to get there but did not have enough time left.
Any way I will let you know ones results are back as I feel I may have done a lot of silly mistakes.”

“I felt your course was good preparation and would recommend it to others. I’d suggest some questions on treating hyperparathyroidism in renal impairment.”

“I passed, big thanks to you !!!!”

“I am a … based in … (got special interest in diabetes) attended your course and just now received the pass result -I have passed (1st attempt) . Many thanks for all you help and advice. It really helped.”
